Mr. Kenneth Armstead was born on July 31, 1954 in Centreville, Illinois to Adys McNeese and David Armstead. He resided in East St. Louis, Illinois until he fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 34, 2026 at the age of 71.

Kenneth was preceded in death by both of his parents, three brothers, Willie Armstead, Steve Armstead, and Robert Armstead, two sisters, Caldonia Myers and Phyllis Armstead.

Kenneth received his education in East St. Louis School District #189. Before adulthood, he took pride in being a Boy Scout. Kenneth had several jobs but his favorite was being a Horseman. He had a great passion for horses. Kenneth took pride in being a family man, and he was well loved. Kenneth was quiet and like to stay to himself.

Kenneth leaves to forever cherish his memories his six children, LaSandra Orange of East St. Louis, IL, Shawana (Tyrone) Cummings of East St. Louis, IL, Atosha Hawkins of East St. Louis, IL, Sharita Armstead of East St. Louis, IL, Carmen Lowery of Cahokia Heights, IL, Kenneth (Alex) Armstead Jr. of Cahokia Heights, IL; three siblings, Sharon Stewart of East St. Louis, IL, Gwen Smith of Belleville, IL, and Samuel Armstead of New Orleans, LA, and one sister-in-law, Shari Armstead, with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
