Keith Sherron Boyd was born on July 23, 1962 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Ross Boyd, Jr. and Hattie Ruth (Garner) Boyd, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the second of three siblings. Keith confessed his love for Christ at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church.

He received his education from the East St. Louis School District #189. He attended Johnson Elementary, Hughes-Quinn Junior High, Lincoln Senior High and a 1980 graduate of East Saint Louis Senior High School. He furthered his education at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Keith left college to pursue a career as a correctional officer for Hillsboro Correctional Center at the age of 19. This fostered a strong work ethic throughout his life. Upon his passing, Keith was employed by the University of Oklahoma Medical Center where his colleagues were extremely fond of him and developed lasting relationships.

Keith was proud to be a product of East St. Louis and most of all to be a part of the Orr-Weathers Family! To his family, friends and OWP, "Bozo" of "Bo," had a charming personality. He always had a smile on his face, an excellent listener and never judgmental nor confrontational.

While living in Oklahoma, Keith deepened his relationship with the Lord and frequently attended Victory Church Edmond. God called him home peacefully on December 6, 2023.

Keith leaves to celebrate his life his sons, Keithen (Sherrie) Boyd of Saint Louis, MO and Dakota Jelks of Belleville, IL; brothers, Derris (Pamela) Boyd, Sr. of East Saint Louis, IL and John (Tangela) Boyd of Houston, Texas; aunts, Joan Garner, Camilla Garner and Jerri Hicks of East St. Louis, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
