Obituary

Keisha Edna Faraa Tolson made her entrance into the world on October 25, 1989 in Granite City, IL To the union of Keith and Ulanda Sherell Lloyd. Keisha professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ under the leadership of the then Elder Keith Mosby, Gethsemane Church of the Living God, East St. Louis. Keisha loved to rejoice in the Lord in her day. In her youngest years, she was one of the church's praise dancers.

Keisha received her formal education in the Fairview Heights Il School District. she obtained her bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies (BBS) at Midwest College of Theology, in Crocker, MO. She earned vocational certificates in Management Information Systems, Office Technology, and Word Processing at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL. In 2012 Keisha joined the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves in 2013. In the past several years, Keisha was employed as a Security Officer, Personal Assistant, and Receptionist. On March 14, 2012, she married Mr. Tramaine Tolson. To this union was born three children.

Keisha was fondly known by several nicknames, most notably, "Ms.Anne." She was a vibrant, vivacious, and characteristically humorous soul she always spoke her mind and did so honestly. when she dressed, she did so to impress. However, much more importantly, she was a lover of humanity, always seeking to help everyone. If you needed shoes or anything, she would literally take them off her and give them to you. When in need, Keisha always gave family members a place to stay. Because of her free-hearted nature, she loved sharing whatever she had with others.

Mrs. Keisha Tolson made her departure on August 11, 2019 and went on to rest. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ethel Ayers and paternal grandfathers, Luther Maggard and William Lloyd, whom she never had the opportunity to meet. Keisha leaves to mourn and cherish her memory; her husband, Tramaine, and 4 children: 2 sons, Zion Gregory and Kraig Tolson and 2 daughters, Kristina Tolson and Kaycee Tolson, all of Granite City, IL; parents, Keith and Ulanda Sherrell Lloyd of Granite City, IL; and mother-in-law, Betty Tolson of East St. Louis, IL; a grandmother, Edna Lloyd of East St. Louis, IL; a grandfather, David Ayers, Sr. of Belleville, IL; a sister, Kheashaun (Tommy) Woodson of Quincy, IL; 8 uncles, Herman Leroy, Victor Leroy, William Leroy, Patrick Leroy, Santos Maggard, David Ayers Jr, and Prince (Naomi) Ayers, all of East St. Louis, IL; 3 aunts, Cheryl Leroy and Kimberly Maggard of Belleville, IL and Shantell Maggard of East St. Louis, IL; a host of cousins (dearest of whom are: Kutanna Moore, Shonda (Tony) Crawford, Dionne (Omar) Davis, and Esther (Brandon) Helfer; great uncles (especially beloved Elijah Moore and Reginald Moore), great aunts, and godparents: Gladys Futrell and Pator Keith and Lady Lorraine Mosby; 2 special friends: Shamyra Thomas and Amber Forest; the Gethsemane Church Family and a beautiful bouquet of other saints and friends
