Karen R.
Sidqui
Mar 4, 1959 — Aug 2, 2025
Mrs. Karen Renee Sidqui was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 4, 1959, to parents Mr. Thomas Billingsley and Mrs. Virginia Williams. She was the oldest of 5 siblings born to that union. She was preceded n death by her parents, grandparents, one sister, Patricia Herron, and one brother, Darrell Williams.
Karen professed her hope in Jesus Christ over 30 years ago and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ under the pastorate of the late Bishop Elliot Coleman of El-Bethel Temple located in St. Louis, MO. In 2004, she became a faithful and permanent member of Divine Holiness Temple under the pastorate of District Elder Lazeal Moore. At Divine Holiness Temple, she had the opportunity to serve as a faithful usher, choir member, Sunday School Teacher, and director over the Bereavement Ministry. She was a pillar of the church and a mother to many. Karen loved God, and one of her favorite statements was, "This is my church." Karen was then blessed with her friend and husband, Abdur-Rahim Sidqui, on October 12, 2012 (and proud she was of "her husband").
Karen attended school in East St. Louis School District #189. She completed her certification in medical assistance at the Missouri School of Doctor's Assistants and followed it by attending Harris-State University, where she majored in Healthcare and Human Services. However, her desired profession was always tax preparation.
Karen's greatest treasures were the love she felt for her children and the love she shared with family and friends. Through this love, she was considered a mother and established an unwavering bond with many. When not sharing wisdom, she shared recipes of love and dedication, from meatloaf and red beans and rice, to the famous caramel cake, six eggs, and all. She was also seen as an influential neighborhood pillar whom many cherished and adored.
Karen completed her life's journey and went home to rest on August 2, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Abdur-Rahim Sidqui of Madison, IL; her children, Deon V. L. Williams of East St. Louis, IL, ShaVon D. Williams of Belleville, IL, Michea S. Jackson (Kenneth) of Cahokia Heights, IL, Michael D. Wilson Jr. of Madison, IL, and Kemonde L. Wilson of Cahokia Heights, IL; extended children, Charlotte, Michael, Michelle (Darren), Avis, Kratocia, Marrio, Jilelynn; grandchildren, Corey (Ashley), Torey (Imani), Dionna (George III), Acazhia, Zhaiyere, Michael III, Ciarra, Kayura, JaQuisha, Malika, Thmani, and Jahcari; 3 brothers, Mr. Thomas (Misha) Williams of Waldorf, Maryland, Mr. Raydo (Lynette) Perry of Killeen, TX, and Mr. Leon Lee of Arlington, TX; 3 sisters, Mrs. Senoria Brown of Caseyville, IL, Ms. Wanda Williams of Cahokia Heights, IL, Lady Joyce (Pastor Lazeal) Moore of O'Fallon, IL, her great grandchildren and host of other family, special friends, Gale Baldwin, Regina Taylor, Delphine Spears, and loved ones.
