Obituary

Juanita Almer Jackson Jenkins was born May 28, 1927 in Girard Ohio to the union of Mr. Edward Jackson and Miss Lualmer Lane Jackson.  Her parents and a brother, Edward Jackson, Jr. preceded her in death.

Juanita accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Colas Temple Church of God in Christ.  She later became a member of Kingshighway Church of Christ in 1974 currently under the leadership of Minister Joseph King, where she served as a faithful member of the Choir a Deaconess, Usher Board and a member of the Benevolent Group at Kingshighway Church of Christ.

Her parents later moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1929.  Juanita was educated in the East St. Louis School District, graduating from Lincoln High School.

In 1962, Juanita was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Nathaniel Jenkins.  They were married for 36 years.  Her Husband preceded her in death.

Juanita was employed at Missouri Embroidery Company as a supervisor for over twenty-five years and Sunshine Art Card Company for over ten years.

Juanita departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2020.  She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her daughter Cevora (James) Nelson of Florissant, Missouri, Nathaniel (Dave Meyer) Jenkins of Clayton, Missouri; granddaughter, Tiffany Nelson, grandson Anthony Nelson, Two stepdaughters, host of grandchildren, great  grandchildren, other relatives, friends and her devoted church family.
