Jewelene Green , aka " Peaches ", was born on June 12, 1953 in St. Louis, MO and raised in Centreville, IL to the union of William (Bill) and Carrie Fields. She was preceded in death by both parents.
Jewelene accepted the Lord as her personal savior at an early age.
Jewelene received her early education in the East St. Louis Public School District 189. Jewelene received advance training from Bits and Bites and earned her Associate Degree from State Community College.
Jewelene first job was at Christian Welfare Hospital at the tender age of 19 and later named Gateway Community Hospital. Jewelene worked this job, Medical Transcriptionist, under the tutelage of Dr. Edmunds from 1971 until their closing in 1989. Jewelene accepted a job with Barnes Jewish Hospital and retired in 2004.
Jewelene married Clarence Green, Sr. on July 21, 1973 and to this union 3 children were born. Cecelia Green of Marietta, GA , Dr. Clarence Green, Jr of Maryville, MO , and Kimberly Green of DeKalb, IL .
Jewelene was a very loving and caring woman. To have known her was to love her. She had an efficacious laugh. She loved dancing and had a deep love for puzzles.
Jewelene began to long for her heavenly home with pearly gates and streets paved in gold. She fought a good fight and finished her course. Now she shall rest from her labor. On April 12, 2019, the Lord called her home with grace and mercy to be at eternal rest.
Mrs. Jewelene Green leaves to cherish her memory husband, Clarence Green, Sr.; daughter, Cecelia (Nigel) Green; son, Dr. Clarence (Michelle) Green, Jr; daughter, Kimberly Green; seven grandchildren, Kennith, aka "Kenny", Green; Kelsi Green, Kaylee Green, Brooklyn Green, Elijah Green, Cody Boyd, and Emma Reid; one great grandson, Tony Green, a dear friend (sister), Shirley Conyers, and a host of family and friends.
