Jeffery Lee Dean was born on July 16, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy and Maggie Dean. He was educated in the District 189 school system. Jeffery graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in 1975.  He met and married Lannie Floore, his high school sweetheart.

Jeffery was a devoted father and family man. He lived for his family and leaves them many beautiful memories to cherish. Jeffery fathered two sons, Dameon Floore Sr. and Darius Floore Sr. In 2015 Jeffery took a step out on faith and moved to Houston, Texas to

make a life that he wanted.

Jeffery found employment at Ben Taub Hospital where he made many friends.  He also found time to venture back to his hometown   to cheer on his beloved Cardinals.

Jeffery loved his family. He affectionately had a nickname for each of them. Jeffery made it a point to be present in the lives of his kids, grandchildren, siblings and their children. Jeffery took time and did things for them all that only Jeff Dean could do. He was funny and always had a way to throw in that signature Jeff laugh and make the best out of any situation. He was a true Gem.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father Leroy Dean and brother, Michael Dean. Jeffery departed this life in Houston, Texas on  March 24, 2019.

Jeffery is survived by his wife Lannie Floore-Dean; sons, Dameon Floore Sr. and Darius Floore Sr. (Renee) of East St Louis, IL; mother, Maggie Dean of O'Fallon, IL; sisters, Brenda Crisp of O'Fallon, Il and Gwynetta Hill (Charles) of Spring, Texas; brother, Dennis Dean of Fairview Heights, IL; aunts, Alma Jean Moss of Belleville, IL and Lovie Jean Clay of Blytheville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Dameon Floore Jr, Daveon Miller, Darriel Floore, Darius Floore Jr., Dearius Floore, Kearius Floore, Derriyan Floore, DeArrian and Dallas Floore; one great granddaughter, Justice; mother-in-law, Ernestine Floore a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends who mourn his loss.
