He was proceeded in death by his parents Rosie V. and Jerry G. Davis, maternal grandmother Christina Whaley (Green), brothers, Ivee Davis, Lee'Ge Davis.

James W. Davis , 49 departed this life on August 29, 2023 , at Barnes Hospital. He leaves to cherish memories: sisters Dollie Davis, Rosie Davis Jr., brothers Jerry Davis Jr., Donald Davis, Corliss Davis, Avin Davis, Kavin Davis all of East St. Louis, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
