Obituary

Jacqueline Louise Cummings was born on March 23, 1956 to the union of Ms. Georgia Lee White and Nathan Robinson in Mobile, Alabama in the honor of the baseball Legend. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was later adopted by her second father, Ira Cummings, who passed on his last name to her and her brother, Larry. Jacqueline moved to East St. Louis, Illinois years later.

Jacqueline graduated from the public school of East St. Louis School District #189. She was a retired textile worker and computer operator. She enjoyed simple pleasures like westerns, reading Jet Magazines, and "family gathering at her house." She was very outgoing and was no stranger to partying. She was an avid fan of blues and R&B music. Particularly that of Lou Rawls, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Betty Wright. She loved listening to comedians like Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents Georgia Lee White and Nathan Robinson; her husband, Daryle Hunter Sr.

Ms. Jacqueline Louise Cummings departed this life for eternal rest on Wednesday afternoon on February 7, 2024 at 3:45 p.m. She was 67.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Darian Cummings, Daryle Hunter, Jr., Angela Hunter, Marquita Hunter, and Dominick Hunter; siblings, Larry Cummings and Alvin White, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a host of much loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many, relatives, friends and neighbors who have been loyal over the years. Special thanks to Cherry and to the rest of our family for being ready and available when needed.

Thank you, Great Aunt Floretta George, for being  Mama's second set of footprints by making me your baby. And also thank you for your prayers. Bootsy and Kita love you and are eternally grateful.
