Gregory Hues was born on December 2, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Luchen Hues and Edna Hues. The family later moved to East St. Louis, Il. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.

Gregory graduated from Cahokia High School. He enjoyed watching basketball and playing cards, which is why he was known as "Possee."

Gregory departed this life on August 23, 2020. He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Edna Hues; siblings, Estella Hawkins, Gracie Harris, Luchen Hues, Jr., Marion Hues, Mack Hues, Eloise Hues, Debra Hues, Phillips Hues, Anthony Hues, France Hues and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
