Gilbert Clark was born on May 12, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Leon and Essie Mae Clark. Gilbert was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Gilbert moved to East St. Louis with his family and resided in Goose Hill area. Gilbert attended the East St. Louis public schools.

Gilbert confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Essie Mae Clark, brothers, James Hunt and Keith M. Clark, and sister, Eavon Clark.

Gilbert leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Linnetta Cotton, Mary Ann (Pierce) Floore and Carla Denise Dunn; two brothers, Anthony Robinson and Darryl Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
