Geneva Morgan was born to Nathaniel and Susie Morgan in East St. Louis, Illinois on December 5, 1956.

She departed this life on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Geneva attended Monroe Elementary and a short stint at Clark Jr. High in East St. Louis, Il where she received her high school diploma from East St. Louis St. Teresa Academy in May of 1974.

Geneva was one of a kind, to know her was to love her. She was always willing and ready to assist anyone that was in need. Geneva did not have any biological children; however she was a mother figure to many. She always had a listening ear.

Geneva was employed with the East St. Louis City Hall in a clerical position within the courts. After which she was employed with the East St. Louis School District 189 Board of Education for almost 42 years as a clerk in the Special Services Department.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Susie Morgan and two brothers, Samuel Stovall Sr. and Alvin Stovall. Geneva leaves to cherish her most fondest memories, her paternal aunt, Mrs. Clarice (Rudolph) Lewis of Acworth, GA, and uncle, Mr. Samuel (Gwendolyn) Morgan of Florissant, MO; niece and great-niece, Ms. Shmonica Cobb and Harley Cobb both of Champaign, IL; two lifelong friends, Mr. Johnathan Lewis of Belleville, IL, and Mrs. Sherrie Reed of St. Louis, MO; a very special friend and stanch supporter, Mr. Michael Dale; god-children, a host of cousins, family, friends, and co-workers from her longtime employer The East St. Louis School District 189.
