Flora Jones was born on March 3, 1954 in Mississippi to the union of Calure Jones and Ruthie Lee. The family later moved to East St. Louis when she was just a toddler.

Flora graduated from Lincoln High School and later attended SIU for two years and graduated.  Flora worked at SMX Management and Spectrum. She was united with Tabernacle Church and proudly sang in the choir.

Flora loved to laugh. She was friendly and liked to have fun. She also enjoyed singing and cooking.

Flora departed this life on October 3, 2020. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons Calure Jones, Cornell Jones (of Michigan) and Byron Jones Sr. (of St. Louis, MO); 7 grandchildren Lashonda Jones, Shanika Jones, Kiera Williams, Jasmine Jones, Jada Newell, Byron Jones Jr., and Brian Jones; her special friend Muriel Dugan, and a host of other relatives.
