Obituary

Fannie P. King was born on June 24, 1941 in Jackson, Mississippi to the union of Joe and Willie Mae Walter. She grew up in Jackson, receiving her education there. At an early age, Fannie confessed a hope in Christ.

She was united in wedlock to Lloyd William King, Sr. Fannie moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1981. She found employment with Community Care Service and remained there for 25 years.

Fannie had two siblings that preceded her in death; Bertha Walter and Sammie Joe Walter. She also had two children to precede her; Jacqueline King Smith and Lloyd William King, Jr.

Fannie departed this life on June 9, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Belleville, Illinois. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Donna (Stanley) Tilman of Madison, IL, Roy Lee Walter of Glen Carbon, IL, Cassandra King of Brooklyn, IL, Angela (David) Rogers of Indianapolis, IN, Reginald (Nichole) King of Belleville, IL, Patricia King of Washington Park, IL and Christopher Waller; special companion of 24 years, Jesse Smith of Cahokia, IL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
