Evangelist Transella
Hill
Mar 28, 1948 — Mar 12, 2026
Evangelist Transella Hubbard-Hill was born on March 28, 1948 to the union of Della Mae Whitson & John Henry Hubbard in Columbus, Mississippi. She was the only child born to that union but her love was spread widely.
Transella confessed her hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. Her faith in the Lord never was questioned or cut short. In spite of what went on throughout her life she put the Lord first and trusted Him. She received her education in East St. Louis School District #189.
On April 23, 1967, Transella united in holy matrimony to her husband, Mr. Donald E. Hill Sr. who shared a loving relationship until her passing. In that union, 5 children were born. Transella was a loving person to all. She loved to serve the Lord, read her bible, cooking, and making memories with her family. She spent a lot of time in her garden that she took pride in.
On Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 10:05 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. Transella graduated to her heavenly home and joined hands with her parents, Della Whitson and John H. Hubbard; her daughter, Ardella Briggs; 2 sons-in-law, Derrick Briggs and Angelo Bennet; 6 siblings, Marrietta Franklin, Pamela Seay, Joyce, Charles Whitson, Kenneth Whitson, James Seay and other family members who met her at the gates.
Evangelist Transella Hill leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 58 years, Mr. Donald Hill; 4 wonderful children, Beatrice Bennett (Alonzo), Donald Hill Jr. (Monique), Charles Hill Sr. (Tierra), and Eric Hill Sr.; 16 grandchildren, Donisha, Jaryoune, Angelo Jr., Tanijah, Aaron, Z'Riyah, Charles Jr., Carmen, Eric Jr., Chevron, Ethan, Eli, Terra, Gameron, Carter, Rylee, and Rayne; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Andria Whitson, Tracey Prude, Carolyn Seay, and a host of other family and relatives who loved her dearly.
