On August 28, 1957, Mr. Eugene Pirtle was born to James C. and Ruby (Perry) Pirtle in Memhpis, Tennessee. He departed this life on December 2, 2016.

He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. The family moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1966. He united with Olivette M.B. Church. After graduating, Eugene attended Southern Illinois University-ESL and Vatterott College. He was retired from Heating and Air Conditioner Services. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by Marie Fair-Pirtle; 15 children, David, Tehrone, Martell, Affrika, Tomika, Rocnika, Tegust, Ebony, Janna, Tamika, Shamika, Jennifer, Roshonda, Mahalia and Myranda; 29 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Osie of East St. Louis, IL, Rudell of Kansas City, Mo and Leroy of East St. Louis, IL; four sisters, Allie B. Giles of Memphis, TN, Christine Pirtle of Memphis, TN, Margaret Pirtle of Washington Park, IL and Lillian K. Pirtle of Belleville, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, associates and co-workers.
