Elouise
Moore
Jun 7, 1958 — Aug 19, 2021
Elouise Annette "Tiny" Moore was born on June 7, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL to the union of Otis Moore and Elouise Hawkins Moore who precedes her in death. Tiny was the youngest of ten children (two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death). Tiny confessed her faith in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Greater Faith Christian Church and later on moved her membership to Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church until her death.
Tiny graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School in 1976 . She later attended SIUE in East St. Louis, IL. Tiny worked at Beavers Car Wash in East St. Louis as a car washer. Tiny left there and began working as a housekeeper at the Regional State Building in East St. Louis, IL for a while then began working for the Casino Queen Gambling Resort as a housekeeper then was promoted to Housekeeper Supervisor for over 20 years of her life.
Tiny loved her family and friends. She loved to cook for them and the neighborhood. She always though she was the best cook in the family. Tiny loved music, playing cards, traveling around the U.S. and gambling in the casinos. She loved pulling the slots at any casino that she could drive or ride to. Here is one thing we all know about Tiny , "Do not block her driveway, please." She would drive down the street blowing her horn until they moved their car out of her driveway. Her favorite words were "Do not block my driveway anymore because I will call the police and have your car towed," and she meant that. She didn't care if it was her sisters or brother.
Tiny departed this life on August 19, 2021 . She leaves to cherish her memories her three children she raised as her own, Jarvis Jackson of East St. Louis, IL, Keanna (Jarius) Walton of East St. Louis, IL, and Lashawn Williams of Japan; brother Reverend Merle Maurice (Darnita) Hawkins of Belleville, IL; three sisters, Gloria McWherter of East St. Louis, IL, Gladys Bigg of Washington Park, IL, and Diane Hawkins of East St. Louis, IL; one sister-in-law Jennifer Hawkins; 15 nephews, 9 nieces, a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends; special friends who she adored until the end of her life; Charlotte Hyde, Donald and Karen Danyus, Diane Nolden, Minister Gail Washington and Cheryl Jones.
