Elizabeth W. Granger was born on September 24, 1942 to Leroy Sr. and Willie Mae Washington in Money, Mississippi. She spent her early years in Money, confessing a hope in Jesus Christ and receiving her education. She moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1959.

On February 21, 1964, Elizabeth married Eddie E. Granger, Sr. Elizabeth loved her family especially her children and her grandchildren. Her family was her life. Elizabeth was a people person, was a mom to everyone. Elizabeth worked at Ford Motor Company for many years before retiring.

"Baby Sister" as she was called, loved to shop and sew in her spare time. She was an excellent cook, known for her fried chicken. She also had a phenomenal recipe for fried apple pie, that stayed under lock and key. As this chapter closes, " Toodles ", for now.
