Elizabeth Ann Brooks, affectionately knowns as "Ann" was born in St. Louis, MO on August 12, 1942. She was one of eight children born to Roscoe Brooks and Ivory Brooks.

Elizabeth was a life-long resident of East St. Louis, IL, until she relocated to Arkansas in 2021 to live with her devoted son, Marquette Gill. Elizabeth attended East St. Louis Public Schools and then began a career as a hair stylist.

On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, Elizabeth departed this life. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ivory Brooks-Patterson, father, Roscoe Brooks, sister, Faye Matthews, brother, Stanley Brooks Sr., brother Lloyd Brooks, sister, Wendy Green, and sister, Irene Mayes.

Elizabeth loved her family and was always happy and cheerful. She had an affectionate love for children. She always had a toy, gift, or something sweet for the little ones when they would visit.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Reginald White, Darryl White, Tony Gill, and Marquette Gill, two sisters, Kimberly Brooks and Gail Matthews, her grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
