Mr. Edward Robertson was born on Dec. 24, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Isabell Evans. His mother preceded him in death. Edward was raised by Curtis Evans, Sr and grew up in East St. Louis, Illinois. He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. He united with the Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. M. R. Lemons. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Curtis Evans, Sr., his sister, Anna Davis, and his brother, John Bernard Evans.
Edward did his educational walk in the schools of District #189. After graduating he decided to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps. He received a honorable discharge on December 6, 1979. He moved to Seattle, Washington and lived there many years before returning to the metro-east area. Edward loved being with his family and being the life of the party.
Edward departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Belleville, Illinois. He leaves to cherish his memory his dughter, Tenedra Robertson; three brothers, Curtis (Angela) Evans, Jr. III of Omaha, NE, Theodious Evans of Risco, MO and Rev. Frederick (Naomi) Evans of Madison, IL; six sisters, Anna (Willis) Veasley of Omaha, NE, Leona Thomas of St. Louis, MO, Ruby Joiner of Washington Park, IL, Debra Robertson of Belleville, IL, Celia Ellington of Fairview Heights, IL and Albertina Evans of East St. Louis, IL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
