Edward Frye, at the age of 70, returned to the father on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Edward was born on July 5, 1954 and was the youngest son of Mary Ellen Frye. He was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up in East St. Louis, IL. At an early age he confessed a hope in Christ, as he attended St. Joseph Catholic School and church and later graduated from Assumption High School.

Edward went to SIUE and worked several jobs until he was hired at Mercantile Bank (US Bank) in 1980 where he was a dedicated employee whereas he worked there 44 years, just retiring August 15, 2024.

Edward stayed very active as always sticking to his routine. He walked, got on the train almost daily, went to Soulard Farmer's Market, the barber shop (Ed Cosby), the Cardinals baseball games, and socialize with friends and family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved and adored.

Edward's father, mother, two brothers Robert & Richard, his two sisters, Carol & Sharon preceded him in death. He is survived by his two sons, James and Anthony; his daughter, Melissa; six grandchildren; nephews Todd (Roz), Derek, and any other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
