Mrs. Edna Lloyd was born on March 10, 1937 in Greenville, Mississippi to Edward Leroy and Josephine McClain. She was the 3rd child.

Edna received her formal education in the East St. Louis School District.

Edna accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was under the leadership of Zachary Lee Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

Edna worked as a cook in the East St. Louis School District. Edna was fun, loving, and the life of the party. She enjoyed early mornings, music, and spending time with friends. She was a fighter.

Edna completed her life's journey on May 8, 2025 and went home to rest. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Leroy, her mother, Josephine McClain, her husband, William A. Lloyd, her son, William Leroy, and her great granddaughter, Kesha Tolson.

Edna leaves to cherish her memories her children, Herman Leroy of Belleville, Illinois, Cheryl Leroy of Belleville, Illinois, Keith (Wanda Sherrell) Lloyd of Madison, Illinois, Victor Leroy and Patrick Leroy of East St. Louis, Illinois; her best friend, Lonnie Pearl of East St. Louis, Illinois, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many relatives and friends.
