Earleen Morris, a cherished member of the Cahokia community, born on October 31, 1932, passed away peacefully at her home after a brave battle with dementia.

Earleen, known for her unwavering dedication and compassionate spirit, was a beacon of light in the field of nursing. Her educational journey culminated in earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, a testament to her commitment to caring for others. With this knowledge and a heart full of empathy, she served as the Supervisor of Nursing at St. Louis State Psychiatric Hospital. There, Earleen's leadership and expertise helped to improve the lives of countless individuals, providing comfort and guidance to both patients and staff during her tenure.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Earleen was an avid equestrian, sharing her love for horses through training programs for adults and children alike.

Her patience and skill as an instructor allowed many to discover the joy and therapeutic benefits of horsemanship. In quieter moments, Earleen found solace and pleasure in the simple game of solitaire, a pastime that brought her peace and contentment.
