On Sunday morning, November 27, 2016 our hearts were saddened by the passing of our loved one, Mr. Donald Lee "Boo" Kelly, Sr.
He was born October 17, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the union of Mary Sue and James Kelly, Sr. He was a retired employee of the Illinois Department of Human Services. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War and received the Bronze Star.
He was a member of Hopewell Missionary Church where he was baptized on February 9, 2014.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Birdie May Gaddis and Henrietta Kelly; seven brothers, James, Joseph, Calvin, Leroy, Louis, Richard and Robert Kelly.
He leaves to treasure his memory his children; Kim (Lonnie) Kelly-Davis of Swansea, IL, Donald (Mary) Kelly, Jr. of Belleville, IL, John Kelly, Ribbian Kelly-McGraw of Sacramento, CA, Patti Jo (Gildaro) Barahona of Orlando, FL, Donna Hawthorne of Detroit, MI and Donyale (Ibohim) Kelly-Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, June Brown and Gail Arrington of Cleveland, OH; one brother, Kirby of East St. Louis, IL and one uncle, Ozzie (Kim) "Uncle Brother" Fearn of Maryville, IL; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Although he is gone from us, he will always be remembered.
