Delores Maxine Rogers-Dew was born to the union of Essyline Roger's Jones and Emmett Rogers Sr on January 12, 1934 in St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, sisters, and brother.

Delores received her formal education from the East St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Lincoln Senior High School. She later attended McKendree University where she received her Degree in Teaching and went on to receive her Master's Degree later in life. Delores began her teaching career in East St. Louis District 189 before later moving to Detroit, Michigan. She had a successful career teaching Jr. High School students in the Detroit Public School System where she later retired. Delores loved her students and the teaching profession.

God was her refuge and strength when life was good, and when times were dark. Delores confessed a hope in Christ Our Lord & Savior at an early age.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories one brother, one nieces, one nephew, and niece-in-law, one great-niece, two great-nephews, two great-great nieces, and a host of cousins, relatives, students thought of as family and friends.
