Obituary

And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  (Ephesians 4:32)

Debbie has found her new home called Heaven……

Debbie was born to the union of Mr. Willie Turner Sr. and Lucinda Tillman.  They were blessed with this baby girl on January 20, 1957.

Willie Turner Sr. (Father), Betty Turner & Annie Mae Minter (Grandmothers), Walter Smith & John Tillman (Grandfathers) all preceded her in death.  She was blessed with wonderful Godparents, the late Mr. Arvell and Mrs. Grace Russell.

Debbie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in East St. Louis, Il.  She had a long-standing relationship with God and was very blessed with her faith.  Her hope in Christ started early.  She sincerely loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  She graduated from East St. Louis Sr. High School in 1975.  She also attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.

With Debbie's joyful personality and sense of humor, she made an impression on all who met her.  She loved to sell her purses and goods at the flea market where she displayed her entrepreneurial spirit.  She was proud to be blessed as Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

Debbie will forever be remembered for her unconditional love.  She cared about people in the purest way and she exemplified this with her smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, and loving embrace.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories:  Son, Raymond Turner.  Grandson, Marquise Turner.  Great grandchildren, Nijah & Siyanna Turner.  Mother, Lucinda Turner.  Her siblings include:  Andrea Turner, Will Turner Jr., Gary Turner Sr., Anthony (Madalyn) Turner, Sheldon Turner Sr., Christian Turner Sr., and bonus sister Tracii Turner Chambliss.  She also leaves a host of Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.  Always at her side was Special Friend, Victor McNeil.
