Obituary

Sharon Denise Moore's journey began in St. Louis, Missouri on September 11, 1956, as the sixth child among 10 siblings born to Christopher Columbus Battle Jr. and Bernice Williams Battle.

Sharon's educational path led her to McKinney Senior High School, where she laid the foundation for her future.  After graduation, she pursued her passion for nursing by completing a Licensed Practical Nursing Program.  With dedication and skill, she obtained her LPN certification and embarked on a remarkable career spanning over 25 years in the nursing field.  Her tenure at Jesuit Hall at SLU underscored her commitment to excellence in healthcare.

In 1984, Sharon found love with Roy Moore and together they formed a cherished bond.  Through their union, Sharon embraced Kveta and Roy, Jr. as her own, preferring not to use the term "step" to emphasize the depth of her love and commitment to her extended family.

Sharon's faith journey, from accepting Christ at a young age to obtaining her Deaconess Missionary license under Pastor Dr. Levi R. King, Sr, demonstrates her deep spiritual commitment and desire to serve others.  Her dedication to Christ Is The Rock Church further underscores her lifelong devotion to her faith community.  Sharon's commitment to both her church and her community, particularly her cherished involvement in The Red Hats social group,  showcased her vibrant spirit and passion for connecting with others in meaningful ways.

Her passion for cooking, baking and her furry companions, combined with her deep love for her family, painted a beautiful picture of her generous and caring spirit.  Her absence will undoubtedly be deeply felt by those who knew her.
