David Lee Thomas was born on February 8, 1962 to the union of the late George and Lillie Mae Thomas in St. Louis, MO. David received his education in the East St. Louis School District #189.

David confessed a hope in Christ at a young age. David worked at Local 2 Roofing and Fredrick Roofing Company. His passion for roofing excelled him into a great career for over 30 years where he later retired.

David seemed to be at peace with life, especially family life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and siblings. A few of his outstanding character traits are his bright smile, the love of the great outdoors, and most of all his baseball hats.

David was preceded in death by his parents George and Lillie Mae Thomas, and sister, Dorothy Walker.

David departed this life on February 8, 2024 in St. Louis, MO. David leaves to cherish his memories, daughters Tierra Foxworth and Leeann Anderson of Columbia, MO; 6 brothers, Leroy Thomas (Paula) of Chicago, IL; Jame Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Michael Thomas, Dwane Thomas (Renita), and Andre Thomas; 3 sisters, Debra Bond (Lonnel), Sharon Thomas and Mary Louis Thomas; sister-like, Stephanie Reynolds; 2 grandchildren Kourtney Foxworth and La'Manii Marshall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
