David E. Shaw was born on March 11, 1985 to William King and Kim Shaw in Haiti, Missouri. He received his G.E.D. and later received his Occupational Technical Training at Saint Louis University.

David is preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" King, and his sister, Charita "Rita" Shaw.

David departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kim Shaw; sisters, Lisa Shaw and Theresa Shaw; brothers, Charles Shaw and Marlon (Katie) Shaw, along with several aunts, uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, several cousins, and lifelong friends.
