Clytee Ware was born on February 7, 1954 in Gholson, Misissippi to the union of Richard Hammock Sr. and Ora B. Hammock. The family later moved to East St. Louis in 1959.

Clytee attended night school and recieved her GED in 1979. Clytee worked as a city bus driver for 30 years. During those 30 years she recieved several accommodations from Bi-State/Metro. Clytee serviced both Missouri and Illinois during her career. She retired from Metro in 2016.

Clytee Hammock met Uran Ware at the young age of 11. The united in holy matrimony on April 19, 1976. During their marriage, Clytee and Uran concieved and raised 5 children, Kim E. Wilson, Rhonda Alexander, Sylvia D. Hammock, Urandy Hammock and Denise D. Ware.

Clytee departed this life on April 9, 2021. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughters Rhonda Alexander, Sylvia Hammock, and Denise Ware; son Urandy Hammock, and daughter-in-law Nicole Hammock; brother Richard Hammock Jr.; sister Claudia DeWalt, and sister-in-law Verlean Hammock, eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
