Mr. Clyde Jerome Mayes was born on February 15, 1975 to the union of Patricia Mayes Davis and Clyde Banks in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in the bi-state area and In 1990, he moved to East St. Louis and completed his educational journey.

During his adulthood, Clyde found employment with Commercial Steam Cleaners and other laborer jobs. He loved people and people loved him because of his personality and a winning smile. Clyde would light up a room with his presence. He would always give nicknames to those he loved.

Clyde's hobbies included training dogs and listening to music.

On Friday, September 21, 2018, in St. Louis, Mo, Clyde Jerome Mayes departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Patricia (Mayes) Davis of East St. Louis, IL; daughters, Latonya Mayes, and Tanisha Mayes, both of East St. Louis, IL; son, Tyree O'Dell of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Sharon Dean of Atlanta, GA; grandfather, Belton Gale; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
