Clotee Scott's Obituary

Clotee Scott was born on November 13, 1932 in Clinton Hinds, Mississippi to Leanna (Clark) Jones and Charlie Price Jones.

She was the eldest of two children; her brother (Charlie) proceeded her in death. Clotee was the mother of four daughters.

Clotee moved to East St. Louis in 1951 with her oldest daughter Bonita from her previous marriage. She later met and married

Rev. Loyd N. Scott and three daughters were born to this union. She was a member of the New Era M. B. Church, an active member

of the New Salem District and the Ministers' Wives Association. Clotee's passion was taking care of her family. She also enjoyed cooking,

baking, sewing, gardening, listening to music, and reading poetry. As an avid reader, Clotee stayed abreast of current affairs.

Clotee passed away Monday morning, June 4, 2018 and leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Bonita (Timothy), Kimeatha, Adriane,

and Vicki (Christopher); grandchildren Tonna (who proceeded her in death), Walter, and Bryant; four great grandchildren and seven great-great

grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
