Charles Stallings, Sr. was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Charles Stallings Sr. was born on July 1, 1954 to the union of James and Willie Mae Stallings in Whiteville, Tennessee. He was the fifth child of eight children. Both parents and his brother George T. Stallings, Sr.; and sister, Lizzie Mae Pirtle, preceded him in death.
Charles attended school District 189 and graduated from Lincoln Sr. High in 1973. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Hattie L. Glen with that union came two children, Charles Stallings Jr. and Latosha T. Stallings. Charles has always been a hard worker. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad for years. After leaving the railroad, he was employed with Bank of America where he retired. Charles was an active member of House of Prayer Assembly under the leadership of Bishop David E. Tabb, Jr. and Pastor Barnela R. Tabb.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two children ~ Charles Stallings, Jr. and LaTosha T. Stallings; four grandchildren ~ Ronnielle L. Rice, Jr., Ta'Lia Q. Willis, Ky'Lee N. Willis and Jer'Moni V. Willis; two sisters ~ Jean Stalllings and Marilyn (Kenneth) Aikens; four brothers ~ James Stallings, Robert Stallings, Sr., Lee Stallings and Don (Doris) Stallings; an abundance of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Charles left a legacy of love, respect, dependability and what it means to be selfless. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching westerns on TV , and going out to eat. He had a love for music.
