Oct 8, 1952 — Mar 30, 2025
Charles E. Robinson was born on October 8, 1952 in East St. Louis, IL to George Robinson and Maggie McGee. As a teenager, Charles accepted Christ as his Savior. He was baptized at Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend H. Butler.
Charles attended Dunbar Elementary, Hughes Quinn Jr High and East St. Louis Senior High School. He later joined the Military (Army) where he received his G.E.D. He served 4 years as a military police officer.
Charles was a brother who faced all challenges when it came to his family. He helped in any way he could when it came to taking care of his family. He was also a devoted best friend to Sylvester Collins, also known as "Smokey." There was no Charles without Smokey.
Charles loved to play music and what he called dancing. He was and jokester and harassed his sisters just to laugh when they told on him. He taught his brothers to always protect the women in the family. Through all the pain they went through as a family, Charles brought them through it all. He was a leader and is still leading and helping them stay strong. Out of 10 children he's the first to join Queen Madear.
