Cedric
Kizer
Nov 30, 1963 — Jan 18, 2021
Cedric W. Kizer was born on November 30, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri to Laura and Collos Kizer. He was the baby boy of 4 children. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and by his brother Khalil Shaheed. He graduated from Lincoln Sr. High School in 1982. On September 24, 1994 he was united in holy matrimony to Cherilyn Bell Hampton.
Cedric symbolized his dedication to Jehovah when he was baptized on December 9, 1989 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved Jehovah's people. There was nothing he wouldn't do to shepherd and care for God's flock. He faithfully served a an elder in the Belleville North Congregation. Even while fighting illness. He continued to serve the congregation and fulfill any Congregation responsibilities that were given until he was no longer able.
He worked for Ventures for 17 years until it closed. Then he went to work for K-Mart for 14 years and while working there he also had his own small cleaning business for about 2 years. After K-Mart closed, he began working for Fed-Ex for about 9 months until he got sick with cancer in 2015.
We will miss his infectious smile, his kindness, and generosity, and the gentleness you felt when you heard his calming voice. I don't think Cedric knew any strangers. He loved giving hugs, and receiving hugs and he enjoyed talking to everyone no matter their age or color. He was a people person, and he loved talking to people about the truth. He will be missed greatly. Sleep my beautiful baby boy, until I see you again in Paradise. (I LOVE YOU!!!)
Cedric departed this life on January 18, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Cherilyn Kizer of 26 years; five brothers Anthony, Reginald, and Gregory Kizer of East St. Louis, IL, and Albert of Rincoin Georgia, and Oscar Nelson, and one sister Mae Nelson of Chicago, IL; his uncle Jospeh Griffin Sr.; sister-in-law and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
