Obituary

Sunrise for Carol Delores Frye occurred on December 24, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. Her Sunset took place on April 7, 2021 with her Son at her side. Carol gladly answered the Master's call and despite recieving quality care on earth, she is now in his care. Born into a very loving family, she was the oldest of three children blessed by God to the union of Thomas and Mary (Fowlkes) Frye. Her parents and one brother (Robert) preceded her in death.

Carol committed her life to Christ at an early age at Parks Chapel in Centreville, Illinois. She later became a member of Southern Missionary Baptist Church in East St. Louis under the spiritual leadership of he Reverend Jerome Jackson. She remained a faithful member until her transition.

Always classy and outgoing, Carol was loved by her family and was well known in her hometown of East St. Louis. It was there that she made her home and raised her only child, Todd. She was beyond proud to watch him grown from a young boy to an outstanding man who would become a Husband and Father.

Carol began her formative education in East St. Louis School District 189. She attended Washington Elementary School and Hughes-Quinn Junior High School. She also attended East St. Louis Senior High School and was a member of the Graduating Class of 1958. After graduation, Carol furthered her education attending Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where she completed one year before accepting a position as a File Clerk in the office of Dr. A.M. Jackson. She also held an Accounting position for a local community business before being hired by East St. Louis School District 189 as a Jr. Accountant. She retired after 35 years of employment.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son, Todd (Rosalyn) Fulton, two adored Grandchilden, Ryan and Torian Fulton, Two beloved brothers, Richard Frye of Ogden, Utah and Edward Frye of East St. Louis, Illinois, a loved sister, Sharon Moore of East St. Louis, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends.
