Mr. Carnell L. Taylor, Sr. was born on February 24, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Carnell Daughtry and Emma Taylor. He was preced in death by bot parents, two sons, Alexis Taylor and Carnell Taylor, Jr and his daughter, Tasha McNeal.
He was raised in East St. Louis, Illinois attending the schools of District #189 and graduating from East St. Louis Sr High School. After graduating and at the young age of 18, Carnell made the decision to enter into the United States Army. He made a career of it and was honorably discharged in 1970. Carnell met and married Cynthia McNeal and they divorced in 1988. In 2017, Carnell confessed a hope in Christ. He started attending Emmanuel Faith Bible Church.
Carnell Loved fishing and spending time with family. Whenever her came to visit, he would always want to fry fish. On Monday, March 23, 2020, Carnell transitioned peacefully in North Chicago, Illinois.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Jeanette Ervin; two nieces, Stephanie Taylor and Mya Everette; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; his ex-wife, Cynthia Taylor; special friend, Maxine; many who loved him dearly and many friends.
