Carl Hurst born to Gonzo Hurst & Corrine Bolden on August 1, 1956, departed this life on Wednesday May 1, 2019.

Carl Hurst was the oldest son & the forth child of 12 children born to Mrs. Corinne Bolden -Cole.

Carl attended school in East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended Washington Elementary School, Rock Jr. High & East St. Louis Sr. High. He was an above average student all through school. He was instrumental in teaching his younger siblings how to read.

Carl shared his knowledge and love for others. He loved to play chess, eat cookies and drink his coffee.

Carl was an awesome big brother and we loved him so! He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Carl is preceded in death by his father Gonzo Hurst, his mother Corrine Bolden-Cole, his sister Patricia Robinson, his brothers Peter James Cole & Willie Cole, Jr.

He leaves cherish warm & fun memories to his sisters; Esther Baker (Eugene) of East St. Louis, ILL., Yvonne Robinson of Augusta, GA., Piccola Davis (Alvah) of Lakewood, WA., Yolanda Williams of Evansville, Indiana and Gretchen Cole of Cahokia, ILL, brothers Hondrea Hurst of Alton, Illinois,  Christopher Cole of Illinois & Emmanuel Branch Cole, Evansville, Indiana, 5 nieces, 8 nephews, a host of grand & great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family & friends.
