Obituary

Mr. Buferas Crawford was born on February 3, 1919 in DeKalb, Mississippi. He was the eight child of the late Webb and Lena Crawford. Buferas had five sisters and two brothers who preceded him in death.

Buferas attended school in Dekalb, Mississippi. He confessed his love and devotion to Jesus Christ as a teenager. He was an active member of the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.

Buferas entered and was a proud member of the U.S. Army. Once his tour of duty was over, he moved to East St. Louis, IL. He worked at Peabody Coal Co. for over 20 years and retired from Hill and Thomas Building Supply Company.

Buferas married Myra McAllister and moved to St. Louis, MO. Together, they had no children

Buferas was called to his eternal home on September 7, 2017.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Myra; stepchildren, Linda, June (Flint), Ronald and Sharon; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
