Brian D. Shaw-Love, age 23, passed away peacefully at his home in Belleville, Illinois on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was born on September 13, 2002 in St. Louis, MO to Charita "Rita" Shaw. Brian was his mother's only child and when she preceded him in death in 2009, his grandmother, Kim T. Shaw continued to care, raise, and love Brian until his last breath. He is also preceded in death by his uncle, David E. Shaw.

Brian graduated from Southeast High School in 2020 and he worked as a manager at Papa John's for 5 years. Brian never married nor did he have any children, however, he did receive plenty of love from his family and close friends.

Brian was genuinely a good person, an overall good human. Brian truly loved his family, especially his grandmother and his "brother-cousins".

Brian absolutely loved spending his free time playing video games, watching movies, and spending quality time with his family. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor, he had a way of saying words that made you smile.

Brian was a joy to be around, he was a very peaceful young man and loved his family and his cat, "Trunk".

Brian is survived by his grandmother, Kim T. Shaw; uncles, Charles and Marlon Shaw; aunts, Lisa and Theresa Shaw; several cousins as well as additional aunts and uncles.
