Mr. Bobby Young was born on January 12, 1939 in Brooksville, Mississippi to the union of Howard and Addie Young. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Caleb Williams.

Bobby grew up in Brooksville, receiving his education from Hopewell School in Brooksville. He confessed a hope in Christ at a young age at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

Bobby united in wedlock in January, 1974 in Mississippi to Ruthie Young. They moved to East St. Louis, Illinois in 1978. Bobby found employment with Granite City Steel as a machine operator. He retired after 24 years of service.

Bobby departed this life on March 29, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ruthie Young; daughters, LeSocca (Clifton) Downs, Seletia (Robert) Lofton, Paula (Barry) Williams, Keshia Young and Lillie Williams; son, Ollie (Kenya) Williams; grandchildren, Terrianna Gambrell, Adrianne Wigfall, Drumeka Wigfall, Gregory Williams, Hyran Roby, Tabetha Roby, Ashley Roby and Donovan Nicholson; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
