Beulah
Orr
Sep 1, 1950 — Oct 13, 2020
Beulah Mae Ross (Orr) was born on September 1, 1950 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Tommy and Bertha Ross. She was the youngest of three children one of whom preceded her in death, Ora Lilton.
The family moved to East St. Louis, Illinois when she was a young girl. Beulah received her formal education through School District #189 and graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School.
She was a true entrepreneur at heart. She enjoyed making arts and crafts and loved cooking. She was a mother of five kids, one son-in-law, and one god daughter, Carmel Ross Smith (Mike), Derrick Ross, Yvonne Abbott, Yolanda Ross, George Ross and Tracy Wren.
Her pride and joy was her daycare she started in her own home called B's Daycare. She was an admirable individual that loved her family and making good memories. She was adamant about getting an education and becoming independent. She loved taking trips to Mississippi with her longtime best friend, Ms. Jean.
God called her home on October 13, 2020 and put her mind and body at rest from the pain and suffering she had endured these past few months. Throughout the past seventy years she has been guiding light and strength of her family.
Beulah leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories, her brother, James Ross of East St. Louis, IL; her five children, a god daughter; nine grandchildren, Clarissa, LaKeisha, MarKeisha, Gelisa, Monique, Epiphany, Gakia, George Jr., and Derricka, and two great grandchildren, Amiyah and Xavier.
