Her faith grew throughout her years, shaping her into a devoted Christian woman whose love for Christ was evident in the way she lived and served others.
Barbara graduated from East St. Louis Senior High School in 1975. She later married Jerry Bowdry , and together they welcomed two children, Jerrica Weeden and Bryant Bowdry . Although their marriage ended, Barbara remained a devoted and loving mother whose family was the center of her world.
Barbara began her professional career with the United States Postal Service , first serving as a mail carrier. Never one to settle and always striving for excellence, she continued her education at Webster University , where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Master's degree in Environmental Science . Her grandchildren were among her greatest joys, and she took pride in being a source of love, guidance, and strength for her family.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
