Arthur "Butch" Jones, Jr. was born on June 12, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Jessie Mae Jones and Arthur Jones, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Jones, Sr. He received his early education in the school system of Memphis. In 1968, Arthur and his family moved to the metro-east area.

Arthur was united in wedlock to Yvette Jones. He was a very hard worker and loved his jobs dearly. Arthur was employed at Wonder Bread at age 17 and worked well over 30 years plus many other jobs. Arthur remarried and this time to Bobbie Crawford. He enjoyed family and spending time with them.

Arthur departed this life on October 11, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri with his family by his side. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Jessie Mae Jones of Cahokia, Il; wife, Bobbie Crawford; Yvette Jones of Cahokia, IL; two children, Tina (Juan) Jones of Cahokia, IL and Christopher (Christine) Jones of Cahokia, IL; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Andre Jones of Memphis, TN and Lance (Maria) Jones of Cahokia, IL; four sisters, Mildred, Lois, Connie Jones all of Cahokia, IL, Marilyn (Charles) Jones-Bynum of Belleville, IL; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
