Golliday, Sr.

Cahokia
Antwyne Cortez Golliday, Sr - born March 3, 1961 at Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, Illinois to Darlene Moore (Rhodes) and Eddie Golliday. His mother, father, brother, Cordell Golliday father and mother-in-law, Mitchell and Irene Luster and one grandson, Anthony Fowler preceded him in death.
Antwyne attended Dunbar Elementary School, Hughes-Quinn Junior High School, Cahokia High School and Lincoln Senior High School graduating in 1979. After graduating from high school, he continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where he was a linebacker for UAPB football team graduating in 1983. He loved him some UAPB - did not miss going to homecoming and tailgating with his buddies every year.
Antwyne gave his life to Christ at an early age at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Scribner, slacked off like many of us do, but eventually rededicated his life to Christ and became a strong disciple of Christ. He was ordained as a deacon in 2013 under the leadership of Rev. Ronald Crockett. He even did a little singing with the Male Chorus.
Antwyne touched so many lives. Everyone referred to him as "Coach Golliday ". He was such a positive influence on so many young lives and the kids had respect for him. He was retiring from CUSD #187, May, 2021 , but instead he retired from labor to reward on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 . EVERYONE is going to miss that smile that lights up a room and his signature hard hat that he wore at each of his team's football games.
Antwyne leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Monique Luster-Golliday; stepmother, Irma Golliday; children, Antwyne C. (Sontaya) Golliday, Jr., Antwynette Golliday-Petty, Antwyneque Golliday, Michael (Alberta) Fowler, Min. William (Carissa) Fowler and Brandi (Min.
