Antonio Little born on June 7, 1966 in East St. Louis, Illinois to his parents, Mary L. H. and Frederick K. Little and the first grandchild born to maternal grandparents, Jodie D. and Marian Harris, Sr, paternal grandparents, Letha and Elverse Little. Both sets of grandparents and his father, Frederick K. Little have preceded him in death. His father, Frederick K. Little, and uncles, Phillip and Naccoma Harrius, also preceded him in death.
Antonio confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church, under the pastorage of Rev. Norman Owens, SR. He attended Sunday School classes regularly and sang in the boys youth choir.
Antonio began his elementary education in public school, until eighth grade. he then attended Assumption Catholic High School until graduation in 1985.
Antonio was called "Tony" by his family and "Big Red" by his classmates because he was taller than most of them. Antonio was always excited about playing sports; he played football for one year, but basketball was his favorite passion. He played with the Assumption Pioneers until graduation. he was recognized as a team player and also completed training for Junior Olympics basketball competition at Southern Illinois University. Antonio received a scholarship to Iowa State University and later transferred to LaGrange University in Missouri, where he studied sports education and played on the basketball team.
Antonio decided to join the United States Military, Department of the Army and after successful training, his mission was the Persian Gulf Storm War, serving as a certified Chemical Specialist. Antonio completed his tour of duty in the military, returned home, then worked at several chemical companies.
Antonio had a big heart. He loved to be with his family and friends at the home of his grandmother, with his favorite three cousins he grew up with: Patresa, Trebia, and Robin. They were like sisters to him. Antonio loved to barbecue at his home and collected all types of music.
Antonio suffered a violent injury several years ago which disabled him, until death. He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of F. Wars and The American Legion.
Antonio leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Mary (Johnnie) Spencer; step sister, Andrea Valley Spencer; aunts and uncles, Doretha Harris, Marian Henrietta Harris, Diane Harris, Gerald T. Harris, Darlene Spencer, Bertha Vinson and Samuel Lilton of the Metropolitan area, Marion and Peggy A. Harris of Atlanta Georgia, Cevora Payne of Chicago, Illinois, Kaye Frances Frye of California, and Enoch and Girtha Turner of Arizona; nieces, a host of cousins and friends.
