Angella Garland was born on March 29, 1965 in Centreville, IL to the union of Freddie Mae Perkins and James Keys.
Angella attended school in District #189 and graduated from East St. Louis Sr. High School in the Class of 1984. She later attended SWIC in Belleville. She started following Jehovah and attending the Kingdom Hall.

On March 30, 1999, she united in wedlock to Lamar Garland. Angella worked as a laundry supervisor at Our Lady of The Snows for over 25 years. She also worked at her husband's catering business "Catering 2 You". Angella loved shopping, listening to music and dancing. Next to her family, reading the bible brought her great comfort and joy. She also enjoyed when the family would gather every Sunday.

Angella departed this life on May 30, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lamar Garland; her children, Quentin (Shereece) Trotter, Clarence (Angela) Trotter, III, Fredrick Trotter, Shameka Bradley, Letoya (Brandon) Ware and Laycee (Mike) Thigpen; her grandchildren, Asya, Maya, Kimora, Blake, Clarence, Taelynn, Brooklyn, Michael, Leslie, Zachary, Loren, and Baileigh; her siblings, Lavonda Crim, Lanita (Steven) Goodwin, Christopher Perkins, Jeanetta Perkins, Arnetta Perkins, and Steven Perkins; her sisters-in-law, Michelle King and Mary (Quinnton) Cox, and brother-in-law, Richard (Tamara) Foote.
