Angela Lynette Polk was born on June 16, 1971 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Larry Lee Simpson and Audrey Polk. She confessed a hope in Christ at the age of 13 years old. Angela united with Holy Deliverance Community COGIC and later moved her membership to New Life Community Church. She received her education through East St. Louis School District #189 and was a lifelong resident.

Angela gave birth to 8 children: six boys, Phillip (Tiffany) Griffin, Gregory (Shannon) Collins, DeAngelo Collins, JacQuese Polk and a set of twins, Antonio Polk and DeMario Polk; two girls, Keyona Griffin and DaeNeesha Polk. Angela worked as a custodian for three business in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her twins, granddaughter, Genevia Alexandria Partee and her brother.

She leaves to cherish her memory her eight children, Phillip (Tiffany) Griffin, Gregory (Shannon) Collins, DeAngelo Collins, JacQuese Polk and a set of twins, Antonio Polk and DeMario Polk, Keyona Griffin and DaeNeesha Polk; 9 grandchildren; father, Larry Lee Simpson; mother, Audrey Polk; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
