Alicia Lynn Branch was born on August 4, 1968 at Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, Illinois to Frederick Branch Sr. & Alfreda Branch.
Alicia accepted Christ at a very early age. In the later years of her life she joined Impact STL under the leadership of Pastor Ron Young. Alicia moved to Douglasville, Georgia and returned there years later and continued her membership at Impact STL until her health started to decline.
Alicia met the man of her dreams, Mr. Terrance Brown Sr. They were married in November of 2014.
Alicia went to St. Patrick Catholic School in East St. Louis, Illinois and Belvedere School in Omaha, Nebraska. She later returned from Nebraska and completed her education graduating from McClure High School in Florissant, Missouri in 1987. Alicia also received her Certified Nursing Aide Certificate in Florissant, Missouri.
Alicia worked at Best Product in Bridgeton, Missouri, Greyhound Bus Company as a Ticket Supervisor, Whelan Security as an armed security guard for Metro Link in St. Louis, Missouri and a health care worker in many nursing homes and caring for many family members and friends as a private caretaker until her health started failing.
Alicia loved being around family, playing Solitaire and other games. Alicia loved music and fussing (she could cut you in half with the look she gave you). Overall, Alicia loved gathering, listening to blues, and BBQs.
Alicia is preceded in death by her husband, Terrance Brown Sr.; her father, Frederick Branch Sr.; stepfather, Alvin Wilson and Carl Johnson; grandparents, Mr. Albright and Bernice Johnson.
Alicia leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Alfreda Wilson of Belleville, Illinois; sisters, Deborah J. Wright of St. Louis, Missouri, Senoria Branch of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Nina M. Townsend of Anna, Texas, Andrea Branch, Brianna Williams and Tiffany Johnson all of Illinois; four brothers, Frederick Branch Jr. of Belleville, Illinois, MaDarrell (Kalia) Simms of St. Louis, Missouri, and Terrance Terrell (Audrey) Branch of Douglasville, Georgia, and Jamal Johnson; three brothers-in-law, Eric (Marla) Young, Billy, and Byron (Sharon) Steward of St. Louis, Missouri; six aunts, Mabel & Bernette Johnson, Patricia Lindsey, Terral Moore, Joneva Moody, and Diane Hawkins; six nieces, Camesha Wilson, Titi Layo Blanchard, Colleen Branch, A'lanah Townsend, Nova Giles; eleven nephews, Bernard Hayes, Harold Blanchard, Kiston Blanchard, Cameron Wilson, Braydon Jones, Darron Simms, Darryl Simms, Dallas Mosley, Donovan Branch, Jaylen Drane, and Tyler Simms; a host of cousins, family and friends; Alicia's chosen sister in the life of Christ, Mrs. Lucia "Lucious" Harley and her very best friend for 43 years of her life, Pastor Leslie Covington (Arthur) Patterson.
Alicia became a donor for the MidAmerica Transplant Organization and at the end of her life she wanted to save someone else.
