Alice Dawson was born on November 15, 1927 to the union of George and Hattie Parker in Forest, Mississippi.  She was the third child born to this union.  Her parents and sisters, Ann Garner and Lodell Dunnigan preceded her in death.

While a young child, the family moved to East St. Louis, Illinois. Alice was educated in School District 189.

Alice married Mr. Charles Dawson.  He also preceded her in death.  No children were born to this union.

Alice loved her family and taking care of them.  On June 18, 2018 , in Cahokia, Illinois, Alice departed this life .

Alice leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Gussie Falconer; a devoted niece, Emma Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins;  a step daughter and step grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends.
